Who I Am
I have always loved and appreciated the wisdom and beauty of animals, but dogs fill my heart and soul.
I am grateful for my innate understanding of our canine companions, a kinship, that goes beyond what I think can be taught.
Which is not to say that I don’t continue educating myself. I study everything I can to learn about the latest scientific research into canine behavior. My idea of fun is a new book about dogs! I am also studying to become a certified dog trainer.
I seek to further my understanding of how their brains work, how they see the world, how they learn, communicate, and show emotion. As there is a lot of new research on how dogs age, both cognitively and physically, one of my specialties is caring for senior dogs, and those in need of hospice care, which is something that was inspired by my own experiences.
My professional and personal philosophy is:

Just ask my very patient and long-suffering husband, who knows that in our house he is third in line; he would have it no other way!
Ace, our 11-year-old Schnauzer/Yorkie mix, Oliver, our 3-year-old Schnauzer/Terrier mix, and Elkie, our 3-year-old Border Collie mix, rest assured they come first.
I love watching dogs and learning from everything they do.
I trust dogs. Dogs are not pretentious, they do not lie, and I always trust a dog who is on alert, whether it is a concerned bark or if he or she is smelling something intently...there is always a reason.

We understand that every family has different needs. It is our goal to be flexible and accommodate as many "pawticulars" as we can! If there are services not listed, feel free to give us a bark at 713-775-1402
Paws-on-Pavement Doggie Walkin' (your dog's actual walk time)
Services include: On-leash neighborhood walks with lots of nose work, clean bowls, fresh water, meds administration, treats, couch-cuddling, belly rubs, lots of love & end-of-visit report/pictures
Droppin' In (does not include a walk)
Services include: Backyard break/play, feeding/treats, clean bowls, fresh water, meds administration, belly rubs, couch-cuddling, lots of love & end-of-visit report/pictures
Overnight Dog/House Sitting (at your place)
Services include: Scheduled feedings, daily 30-minute walk, clean bowls, fresh water, meds administration, playtime, belly rubs, couch cuddling, lots of love & end-of-day report/pictures. Also, bringing in mail/newspapers/packages, lights on/off, blinds open/closed, put out/bring in garbage cans.
Pet Taxi (up to 5 miles)
Services include: This service is used for any pet-related errand that will help to make your life easier! Such as food and/or medication pick-up/delivery, grooming drop-off/pick-up, vet visits (we'll conference you in or give you a full report afterward), and new adoption/relocation transportation (mileage rates will be calculated for specific distance)
The Ruff Stuff
Overnight Sittings require a $50.00 non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit, which will be applied toward the total cost of the schedule stay. Holidays rates apply. Please add $15 to each service for puppies up to one-year of age. All pets must be fully vaccinated & we must have up-to-date vaccination records on file. PITA Fee: Charges calculated based on severity of headaches.
